In-Service /Education Services

Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates pairs licensed, certified therapists with facilities requiring their specific skills. Therapists work closely with primary care givers to ensure that the benefits of therapy continue long after services are complete.

In addition to providing therapists for specialized needs, Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates develops individually tailored action plans and educational programs for facilities wishing to enhance their clients' quality of life. Their reputation in education is rooted in a 42-hour activities curriculum they developed for the Illinois Department of Public Health for long-term care personnel. This program, as well as other education programs, is offered to clients.

Cutting Edge Services

  • Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates is a licensee of the computerized evaluation system "Lifease" which evaluates the functional abilities of the client, evaluates the client's environment, compares the demands of the environment vs. the abilities of the client , identifies problem areas, develops solutions, provides product resources and price comparisons and procurement information, and provides installment information. The EASE evaluation can be used for an admission / placement assessment, for environmental modification of living space prior to client's moving in, when decline in function occurs, and to identify appropriate activities which can allow the person to succeed in their pursuits. This tool can be used near the completion of therapy prior to discharge and is beneficial to assist in the patient's transition to their home or permanent place of residence.
  • Considerable success has been achieved with Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates' involvement with facilities in their specialized programs such as “Freedom from Incontinence”, “Special Care Households”, “Safety Programs”, “Dining Programs”, “Arthritis Programs” and others that can be beneficial to individuals and families with special needs.
  • Personalized ownership involvement - the owners are therapists who have been involved in geriatric practice for forty-three (43) years and understand client and caregiver needs.
  • The Co-owners of Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates are professionally involved locally and nationally and have been recognized as Fellows of the American Occupational Therapy Association and have achieved Board Certification in Geriatrics. They are very strong advocates of ethical therapy practice. They are recognized internationally for their program development, ability to communicate their innovations in patient care to other professionals and the expansion of therapy services in the geriatric service delivery arena.
  • Both owners serve on CMS Task Forces related to geriatric services.
  • The co-owners of Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates have, through the years, been at the forefront of program development and have presented workshops and developed materials on these programs which are available to their therapists and to the facilities they service.
  • Glantz/Richman Rehabilitation Associates has implemented therapeutic activity-based daycare programs for people with cognitive loss within retirement homes and assistive living facilities
