Course Description
Although documentation is part of every therapist’s day, there can be sticky situations that are tough to effectively document. Participants will review current documentation standards as well as strategies for documenting patient refusal, disagreements with other staff, falls and injuries, incident reports, missed documentation, change of service provider, and other situations that are unusual or infrequent. Question and Answer period will be provided as well as lab time to audit and create defensible documentation.

- Identify sources for documentation standards
- Discuss discipline specific documentation pitfalls
- Recognize documentation examples that are not recommended and how improper documentation can be problematic
- Strategies methods to document difficult situations effectively
