Course Description:
The use of standardized assessments is not only desirable but starting to be a requirement from some payer types. This course will provide participants with a framework to select and administer standardized assessments in their practice settings. Specific assessments will be reviewed, and demonstrated along with the corresponding scoring forms and documents. Practice sessions will also be conducted.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify advantages for using standardized assessments, including Medicare Part B requirements
- Discuss how to incorporate standardized assessments within the evaluation process
- Identify specific assessments that would be appropriate to use for various patient populations
- Demonstrate the use and documentation of at least one new assessment instrument
